"What makes Scituate so special is its small-town values. In small towns, we take care of each other. We protect one another. When someone struggles we lift them up, and we always look for opportunities to keep our community healthy and happy. It's that philosophy that motivates me to want to serve our town as Director of Public Welfare."
A former journalist in Boston, Scott's experience in uplifting vulnerable groups will easily transition into servicing our community. As director of public welfare, Scott will draw on his involvement as an active volunteer with major social service organizations to strengthen Scituate's current services, including the food pantry and heating assistance. He's eager to identify new ways residents can connect with each other to strengthen the bonds that make Scituate special.
