As current Chair of the Scituate Sustainability Initiatives Committee, Jenna’s leadership has positively resulted in the town’s promotion of environmental responsibility and sustainability practices. With the help of committee members and volunteers, Jenna has taken the lead for the town’s successful Earth Day Cleanup efforts. Her commitment to community building extends to her role as a co-admin for the Buy Nothing Group. The local online consortium creates a connection between neighbors, while also keeping items out of the landfill through reuse and upcycling practices.
Expanding her outreach beyond this important service to the community, Jenna serves as Vice Chair for the Scituate Democratic Town Committee. In this capacity, she actively contributes to local political discourse, helping fundraising and outreach efforts, while also promoting voter registration and progressive initiatives. Recognizing that Scituate's governing rules are outdated, Jenna advocates for re-establishing a Home Rule Charter Commission. This initiative aims to modernize local governance and potentially introduce changes like electing a Town Manager to serve the community better.
Outside of her civic duties, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and frequently visits the Farmers Market. Her commitment to community and family life underscores her dedication to making Scituate a better place for everyone.
